The two societies welcome comments, questions and debate.  There are three ways in which members may make their views known.

1.         By writing to one of the Presidents

Unless you explicitly ask for the letter to be treated in confidence, its content will be shared with the other society’s Council.  We may also wish to take extracts from letters on which to base (anonymised) FAQs elsewhere on this site, but you would be contacted before this is done.

2.         By emailing one of the societies

3.         By contributing to the Discussion Forum

The discussion group has been set up to allow members of the London Mathematical Society and the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications to comment on the proposal from the Councils.

The societies reserve the right to remove material submitted from non-members or anonymously, and to remove or edit material of an objectionable, slanderous or obscene nature.
